Once you choose hope, anything's possible.

Won't you support my hike to prevent breast cancer?

On Sunday, October 6, I will join hundreds of men, women and children taking one step at a time to prevent breast cancer as we hike Northern California's Mt.Tamalpais with the Breast Cancer Fund's 2013 Peak Hike. I have participated in the PEAK HIKE since its inception 18 years ago  as a hiker and volunteer and will continue to do so for as long as I possibly can.

Over the years, I have lost many friends to this disease and watched many women suffer, not only from the disease but from the debilitating treatment.  I hope to see an end to Breast Cancer, to all cancer in my lifetime.

Recently Angelina Jolie took the courageous step to undergo a preventative double mastectomy, after having been tested for breast cancer causing genes and finding that she was predisposed to the disease.  However, the incidences of genetic causes of this disease are a small percentage.  Please join me in supporting the Breast Cancer Fund's work to eliminate the environmental and other preventable causes of the disease by making a donation in support of my efforts.

As a breast cancer survivor I would like to spread a message of hope to all of those women who have suffered the diagnosis of breast cancer and are waging their own battle against this insidious disease.
